Development Professional – The Library Foundation The Library Foundation is the non-profit fundraising arm for the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library with a mission to secure financial resources to support the library’s collections, programs, services, technology and physical facilities. The foundation is currently funding the expansion of the library’s café, an early childhood reading program, and the newest library bookmobile. We are seeking a Development Professional responsible for communications, day-to-day financial operations and managing the donor database. This person must be a self-motivated, well organized, possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. This person works with the executive director, a board of directors and on occasion the library staff. The Topeka community loves its library and the foundation is the trusted source for patrons to show their support by receiving their financial gifts.
